The Bangladesh cricket team is set to start its ICC T20 World Cup 2024 campaign on June 8 against Sri Lanka. Bangladesh have qualified for the T20 World Cup 2024 as one of the two best ranked teams in the ICC T20I Rankings who didn’t qualify for the tournament automatically. Afghanistan is the other team.

Towhid Hridoy

24-years-old Towhid Hridoy will be looking to keep his good start to T20I career going. Towhid has played 22 matches and has scored 454 runs runs at an average of 30.27 and strike rate of 131.59.

Shakib Al Hasan

Although is going through his worst form with the ball, he has been still a decent player with the bat. However, with the matches to be played in slow spin friendly pitches, Shakib might just find his rhythm back with the ball as well. His experience will certainly be handy for Bangladesh. Shakib has played 122 matches and scored 2440 runs and taken 146 wickets in his career.

Taskin Ahmed

Indian fans would still remember Taskin Ahmed taking a 5 wicket-haul on his ODI debut against India. He also bagged the big wicket of Glenn Maxwell in his T20I debut. He was touted as Bangladesh’s next big pacer, but he never turned to be that good. He is still Bangladesh’s one of the first choice bowler. Taskin has played 61 T20Is and has taken 64 wickets. Bangladesh’s left-arm pace bowler Mustafizur Rahman is one of the most sought after name in the T20 franchise leagues. He has played for several teams in various T20 leagues, the likes of Sunrisers Hyderabad, Mumbai Indians Rajasthan Royals, Delhi Capitals and Chennai Super Kings are some of the teams for whom Mustafizur has played. He made T20I debut in 2015 and has played 96 matches and taken 120 wickets.
