All of Jordan’s wickets came in his final over. He became only the second bowler to take four or more wickets in the T20 World Cup, following Ireland’s Curtis Campher, who did it in the 2021 tournament. This week has been great for fast bowlers, with taking two hat-tricks in consecutive matches and Jordan taking the third of the tournament.

England’s big win means they will knock out either South Africa or the West Indies on Monday morning. This is unfortunate, especially for South Africa, who have remained undefeated so far. The match awarded England spinner Adil Rashid as the player of the match for his impressive 4-0-13-2 spell. Rashid’s performance outshone Jordan’s hat-trick and Buttler’s powerful innings.

Rashid’s exceptional bowling in the middle overs took the momentum away from the USA. England’s win boosts their confidence, and they are expected to qualify for the semi-finals as the top team in their group.
