Unsold in the IPL 2025 Auction, Shardul Thakur performed outstandingly in the Ranji Trophy match. He is currently playing for the Mumbai team under its captain, Ajinkya Rahane. 

Mumbai is currently playing a Ranji Trophy Elite Group A match against Jammu and Kashmir. They won the toss and chose to bat first. But they looked helpless in front of the bowlers of Jammu and Kashmir. Many stars sold in the IPL 2025 auction are on the Mumbai team. But they disappointed fans badly with their worst performance.

After disappointing performances against New Zealand at home and in Australia, the BCCI has pressured Indian players to play in the Ranji Trophy. Rishabh Pant, the most expensive player in the history of the IPL, could score only one run in the match against Saurashtra. Pant plays for his state team, Delhi, in the Ranji Trophy. But he failed to show his class in the first inning. 

Shubman Gill is leading the Punjab team and also failed to perform well. His team was all out for just 55 runs against Karnataka.

Venkatesh Iyer, who is playing for the MP team, injured his ankle while playing the match against Kerala. He also went off the field for a few hours, but he came back onto the field after 4 hours and scored an important 42 runs in a crucial situation.
