Indian captain Rohit Sharma forgot the coin during the toss against Pakistan for the T20 World Cup match at Nassau International County Cricket Stadium in New York. In a typical manner, Rohit misplaced the coin. As Ravi Shastri, who was hosting the toss, asked Rohit to flip the coin, the Indian captain was momentarily caught off guard and had to search his pockets before finally locating the coin in his trouser pocket.

This light-hearted moment brought smiles to the faces of both Rohit and Pakistan captain Babar Azam before they composed themselves for the toss.

Pakistan won the toss and opted to bowl first against India. At the toss, Babar mentioned that they had benched Azam Khan in favor of Imad Wasim.

Pakistan, having lost their first T20 World Cup match against the USA in a thrilling Super Over, where they struggled with the bat, is under pressure. In the Super Over, Mohammad Amir bowled, and the USA managed to score 18-1, while Pakistan could only reach 13-1, losing by five runs.

This defeat has put Pakistan in a critical position, making the match against India crucial as a loss today could significantly impact their tournament chances. Conversely, India secured a comfortable victory over Ireland in their first match of the tournament in New York.
