Rahul Tripathi Leads Sunrisers Hyderabad in Powerplay
It was Rajasthan Royals captain Sanju Samson who won the toss and asked Sunrisers Hyderabad to bat first. SRH were dealt a blow in the first over itself as Abhishek Sharma departed after hitting a Six and Four.
But it was Rahul Tripathi’s show all along in the powerplay. The India international batter smashed all of Rajasthan Royals bowlers put in against him, managing to score 37 runs in 15 balls that included 5 fours and 2 sixes with a strike rate of 246.67.
Rajasthan Royals Struck 3 Wickets In the Powerplay
Sunrisers Hyderabad once again failed to keep hold of the wickets in the powerplay. The Orange Army lost 3 wickets in the powerplay itself including the likes of Abhishek Sharma, Aiden Markram and Rahul Tripathi, who obviously delighted the fans before was dismissed.
Heinrich Klaasen: One Man Army for Sunrisers Hyderabad
When the opening duo of Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head failed for the Hyderabad franchise, it was Heinrich Klaasen who ran the show for SRH. The South African batter scored 50 runs of 34 balls that included 4 Sixes and surprisingly no fours. It needed a special delivery from Sandeep Sharma to send the South African back to pavilion.
Rajasthan Royals Need 176 Runs to Book IPL 2024 Final Ticket
A fantastic last over by Avesh Khan meant that Sunrisers Hyderabad could only post 175 runs on the board for the loss of 9 wickets. Rajasthan Royals need 176 runs to win the match and book their tickets for the IPL 2024 Final vs KKR on 26 May.
