Indian cricket team’s pacer Jasprit Bumrah shared a funny moment with his wife and ICC digital representative Sanjana Ganesan following India’s victory over Pakistan in the T20 World Cup 2024.

India clinched a thrilling six-run win against their arch-rivals Pakistan, with Bumrah playing a crucial role with the ball. He took three key wickets, significantly denting Pakistan’s chances.

Bumrah’s precise bowling in the middle overs was instrumental in India’s victory, earning him the Player of the Match award, his second consecutive accolade in this T20 World Cup.

After his stellar performance, Bumrah was interviewed by the ICC, with his wife Sanjana Ganesan conducting the interview. She asked him about his performance, ending the interview on a humorous note.

At the conclusion, Sanjana asked Bumrah about seeing him soon, to which he replied that they would meet within the next 30 minutes. “Thank you so much for talking to us. We will see you very soon and congratulations on your second win in the tournament,” Sanjana said.

“We will see you in 30 minutes,” Bumrah replied. As he was about to leave the frame, Sanjana humorously asked her husband about their dinner plans, saying, “What’s for dinner?” with a smile.

Bumrah now has five wickets in two matches in this T20 World Cup, tying with Hardik Pandya as India’s top wicket-taker in the tournament so far. With this victory, India has moved to the top of Group A with 4 points from two matches. They will face the USA next on Wednesday, and a win will secure India’s place in the Super Eights.
