“Virat Hamara Bhagwan Hai” – Virat Kohli Fan Said After Arrested for Invading Pitch During KKR vs RCB

According to the recent reports from other sources, the fan who breached security to touch the feet of Virat Kohli during the season opener between Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) vs Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) has been arrested by Kolkata police.
The Kolkata police have reportedly arrested the 18-year-old fan who invaded the pitch during the clash between KKR and RCB at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata on Saturday.
The incident took place during the 13th over of the game when Virat Kohli and RCB were seen in a good position, winning the match against the defending champions. The play was stopped for a few minutes as soon as the security staff escorted him.
After the Kolkata police escorted 18-year-old named Rhituparno Pakhira, a video of him has gone viral on the social media platforms. He was seen in the video, saying, “Virat (Kohli) hamara bhagwan hai (Virat is my god).”
Considering the reports from Kolkata authorities, Rhituparno Pakhira who hails from Jamalpur, used force on the on-duty personnel to invade the pitch.
Moreover, reports from The Indian Express state that Rhituparno Pakhira who has been escorted to the Maidan Police Station in Kolkata. The young fan has been charged under section 132 (assaulting or using criminal force against a public servant), 329 (3) and section 125 as well.
Virat Kohli’s heroics helped RCB to kickoff with a win against KKR
After being asked to bat by the visitors, RCB, the defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders went on to post a total of 174 runs, losing 8 wickets on the trot. The new skipper of the side, Ajinkya Rahane smashed 56 off 31 balls along with Sunil Narine’s 44 from 26 deliveries against RCB.
However, the total wasn’t enough for the home team, as Royal Challengers Bengaluru chased down within 17 overs of the game. With Phil Salt and skipper Rajat Patidar departed on 56 and 34 runs, the Indian stalwart remained unbeaten on 59 runs and helped his side to chase down the target with 7 wickets in hand.
