The Indian stalwart Virat had a shaky start to his innings in the ongoing battle against Ruturaj Gaikwad-led Chennai Super Kings. This is the 8th match of the tournament hosted by MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.

Virat Kohli opened the innings alongside the English batter Phil Salt. While the 36-year-old cricketer struggling to get going against the CSK bowlers, Phil Salt took the charge from the other end and outshined the Indian batter with his 32 off just 16 balls.

Virat Kohli was seen struggling with his timing as he got to face many balls to play. In the meantime, Virat Kohli who looked scratchy with the new ball was seen giving a deadly stare at Khaleel Ahmed during the game.

The left-arm pacer who beat the Indian batter with the extra bounce was seen going through the flow over him. However, the former RCB skipper didn’t hold back as he gave him a deadly stare before nodding his head towards Khaleel Ahmed.

After being asked to bat, Royal Challengers Bengaluru posted a challenging total of 196 runs on the board. Noor Ahmed was seen in good flow with the ball, picking up 3 wickets while conceding 36 runs in his spell.

However, CSK dropped plenty of catches of Rajat Patidar who went on to smash 51 runs from 32 balls. Tim David did a great job in the end as he slammed 22 off just 8 balls with a four and 3 sixes to his name.

Chasing the target, Rahul Tripathi and Rachin Ravindra opened the innings for Chennai Super Kings. The Australian pacer Josh Hazlewood provided the early breakthrough by sending back Rahul Tripathi and CSK skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad for a duck.

Following him, Bhuvneshwar Kumar who made his debut for Royal Challengers Bengaluru removed Deepak Hooda for just 4 runs. It will be interesting to see how CSK is going to chase the total after losing three wickets early in their innings.
