Virender Sehwag and Aarti Ahlawat Reportedly Part Ways After 20 Years of Marriage: Media Reports

A few media reports shockingly claim that Virender Sehwag and his wife, Aarti Ahlawat, are reportedly heading for separation after almost 21 years. Former batsman Sehwag has unfollowed his wife, Aarti, on Instagram, and his wife has also done the same. After this, the news of their divorce has increased on social media significantly.
According to Hindustan Times’ sources close to the family, the couple has been living separately for several months, and there is a high possibility of their divorce.
Aarti is Sehwag’s childhood friend. After dating for five years, the couple tied the knot in 2004. The reason behind the separation is still unknown for now. The couple has two sons, Aryavir Sehwag and Vedant Sehwag. But still, an official statement from the couple is yet to come.
This is the second couple in recent times after and Dhanashree Verma, who came in media reports due to their separation.
Virender Sehwag’s Cricket Career
Virender Sehwag has had an extraordinary career known for his explosive batting. He has a different batting style. Sehwag played 104 Test matches for India, scoring 8,586 runs with an impressive average of 49.34. He also scored 23 centuries in his Test career. His best inning of Test cricket came against South Africa, where he scored 319 runs at Chennai in March 2008. He is the only Indian cricketer who scored two triple centuries in Test cricket. His first triple century came against Pakistan in Multan in 2004.
He played 251 ODI matches and scored 8,273 runs with a brilliant strike rate of 104. He changed the way of playing ODIs with his hard-hitting ability. His career’s best ODI inning came against the West Indies; he scored 219 runs in December 2011. At that time, he became the second international male cricketer after Sachin Tendulkar to score a double hundred in the ODI.
Sehwag also played 9 T20 matches for India and scored 394 runs. Overall he has had a brilliant cricket career.
