English pop singer/songwriter Ed Sheeran who is currently in India, had a great time with the Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Rajasthan Royals, spending some quality time and also joined Royals batters Riyan Parag for some fun training session at the franchise’s training camp.

Popular singer Ed Sheeran who is currently in India, is exploring the country’s love for the game of cricket. After meeting the England cricket team in Pune who are touring India for 5 match T20I and 3 ODIs, Sheeran most recently shared some valuable time with the IPL franchise Rajasthan Royals, maximizing his time in India.

Sheered visited the franchise’s training and tried his hands with the bat as he hit couple of great shots that impressed the Rajasthan Royals players. Ed Sheered who is known for the popular hits like Shape of You and Perfect, mesmerized the players and the fans who watched it on the Royals’ social media handle.

In the video, Sheeran arrived sporting the Rajasthan Royals with legendary Shane Warne’s name on it. As he was spending time on the net, he was joined by Riyan Parag and Tushar Deshpande who were amazed by Ed Sheeran’s bat swing. “He’s got a good swing” said Riyan Parag. Before he left, he gave English Premier League (EPL) Ipswich Town’s jersey, who he is a part-owner and fan of, to Riyan and Deshpande. Watch the video below.

Rajasthan Royals hunt for their 2nd IPL Trophy in IPL 2025

Rajasthan Royals will be meanwhile looking to bag their 2nd ever IPL Trophy in the IPL 2025. The Rajasthan Royals have not won a single IPL trophy since they won the inaugural edition in 2008 under the leadership of legendary Australian spin bowler Shane Warne. They came close in the IPL 2022 season when they lost in the final against the debutant Gujarat Titans.

They qualified for the IPL 2025 playoffs finishing 3rd in the points table. Although they beat the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in the eliminator, they lost against the eventual runners-up Sunrisers Hyderabad in the Qualifier 2.
