Batting first, Mumbai Indians scored 205 runs with Tilak Varma scoring a fifty while the likes of Ryan Rickelton, Suryakumar Yadav and Naman Dhir contributed with good scores.
Meanwhile, Delhi Capitals lost the wicket of Jake Fraser-McGurk in the first ball of their chase. Then came impact sub Karun Nair, who changed the whole complexity of the game. Nair played a wonderful inning of 89 runs off 40 balls for the Capitals with a great partnership of 119 runs for the 2nd wicket with Abhishek Porel.
But as soon as both departed, Delhi Capitals batting completely flopped. Star batters like KL Rahul, Axar Patel and Tristan Stubbs couldn’t take the team over the line.
