Virat Kohli’s reaction after Rishabh Pant’s dismissal during the India vs Bangladesh match spoke volumes. Pant lost his wicket at a critical moment in the Super 8 clash of the ICC T20 Cup 2024, leaving fans and teammates visibly disappointed. and both started well but couldn’t turn their innings into big scores.

Rohit quickly scored 23 runs off 10 balls before dismissed him. Kohli managed to pass the 30-run mark for the first time in the tournament but was dismissed for 37 by Tanzim Hasan Sakib in the 9th over.In the same over, Sakib also got the in-form Suryakumar Yadav out cheaply, leaving India at 77 for 3. With Bangladesh holding the momentum, Rishabh Pant stepped up and hit some big shots to turn the tide in India’s favor.

Pant pushed the score past 100 and was looking good with 36 runs, including four fours and six sixes. However, he lost his wicket in the 12th over trying a reverse sweep against Rishad Hossain, hitting the ball straight to the fielder at short third man, much to everyone’s disappointment.

Kohli looked very disappointed in the dugout after Pant got out. He was seen saying something in frustration and then covered his mouth with a towel. Later, he was also seen having a chat with Pant in the dugout, possibly offering advice or expressing his frustration.

India finished their innings at 196 for 5 in 20 overs. After Pant’s dismissal, scored a quick 34 runs, and unbeaten 50 off 27 balls, with four fours and three sixes, boosted India to a big total. A win in this game would almost secure a spot in the semifinals for India, as they started their Super 8 campaign with a win over Afghanistan and are looking to maintain their winning streak.
