Indian Journalist Frustrated After Rishabh Pant’s Poor Show in IPL 2025
Sunrisers Hyderabad and Lucknow Super Giants faced each other on Thursday. Following the game, the journalist participated in a live discussion on the Sports Tak YouTube channel.
During the interaction, the journalist threw an object at the TV, visibly frustrated with Rishabh Pant’s poor performance this season. He was also seen pushing tables and other objects, further indicating his dissatisfaction.
Lucknow Super Giants’ captain, Rishabh Pant, has yet to score in the ongoing Indian Premier League season. After being dismissed for a duck in the opening match against Delhi Capitals, the left-handed batter again failed to score against Sunrisers Hyderabad.
Despite Pant’s struggles, Nicholas Pooran delivered an exceptional performance, smashing 70 runs off just 26 balls, helping his team secure two crucial points. Mitchell Marsh also contributed significantly with 52 runs, including 7 fours and 2 sixes.
David Miller and Abdul Samad efficiently finished the match for Lucknow Super Giants, securing victory with more than three overs remaining. Yet, despite this victory, the journalist—clearly a passionate Lucknow Super Giants supporter—remained upset over Pant’s consistent poor batting performance.
He further criticized Pant, calling him too predictable and suggesting he is no longer dependable. The journalist emphasized that Pant must stage a strong comeback soon if he wants to help his team qualify for the IPL playoffs.
