Watch: Kavya Maran’s Frustrated Reaction to SRH’s Batting Order Collapse in Hyderabad

Kavya Maran who was ecstatic with her team’s batting performance during the IPL 2024 season, was left frustrated and shouting at her team after Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH)’s performance vs Gujarat Titans in the IPL 2025 season.

On a much different surface than the traditional Hyderabad surface, it was the Gujarat Titans captain Shubman Gill who won the toss and opted to bowl first. SRH lost their crucial wicket of Travis Head in the 1st over itself.

Although Abhishek Sharma and Ishan Kishan tried to play some shots and score runs, eventually Abhishek was given out in the 4.4 overs. Ishan Kishan too gave away his wicket a few overs later.

But the real collapse happened in the 14th over. When Heinrich Klaasen was out in 14.5 overs, Nitish Kumar Reddy, Kamindu Mendis, Aniket Verma and Simarjeet Singh lost their wickets in quick succession as SRH could score only 152 runs in 20 overs, a below par score.

Sunrisers Hyderabad lost 4 matches in a row

Meanwhile, after their defeat against the Gujarat Titans, it was their 4th consecutive defeat for the Sunrisers Hyderabad. The Pat Cummins led last season’s runners-up SRH began their season with a win against the Rajasthan Royals.

But since then, they have lost 4 matches in a row against the Lucknow Super Giants, Delhi Capitals, Kolkata Knight Riders and finally the Gujarat Titans. This has slipped the side to 10th place in the points table and soon need to find their form if they want to get into the top 4 in the points table.
