Current Delhi Capitals’ middle-order batter KL Rahul stole the show against his former team Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), playing a match winning knock of 57 runs off 47 balls. However, the highlight of the show was when Rahul ignored LSG owner Sanjiv Goenka after the match.
KL Rahul and Lucknow Super Giants owner Sanjiv Goenka are believe to have not a good relationship between each what transpired during Rahul’s stint as the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) captain in the previous 3 years.
Last season i.e. the IPL 2024 season, Sanjiv Goenka and KL Rahul were captured having an heated argument as the team struggled due to bad results and failed to qualify for the playoffs. KL Rahul was put most of the blame for LSG’s poor performance citing his below impression strike rate.
After that, Rahul was not retained by the franchise ahead of the IPL 2025 Mega Auction and he was eventually included into their side by the Delhi Capitals after a bidding war against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR).
KL Rahul don’t speak a single word to Sanjiv Goenka
Since turning-up for the Delhi Capitals in the IPL 2025 season, Rahul has been in impressive form, playing several match winning knocks, including last night’s performance against his former team LSG.
Meanwhile, after guiding the team to victory in the last match, during the customary handshake, LSG owner Sanjiv Goenka tried to have a chat with KL Rahul, who ignored Goenka and moved on. Since then, the video has gone viral on social media. Watch the video below.
