After a long delay, we are finally underway at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium as the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) will be batting against Punjab Kings in a match which was delayed due to rain.

It has persistently been raining for the last several hours in Bengaluru and while many believed that a match might be unlikely, but the world-class subair drainage system at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium did wonders and got the ground ready for match very quickly.

RCB vs PBKS reduced to 14 overs per inning

The Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) vs Punjab Kings (PBKS) match was set to be played from 7:30 P.M Indian Standard Time (IST). But, due to persistent rain in Bengaluru from evening onwards, the match had to be delayed for several minutes.

Eventually when the conditions got better, the match was rescheduled to 9:45 P.M IST start and it will be a 14 overs per inning match-up. The normal 6 overs of powerplay has been reduced to 4 overs of powerplay. Meanwhile, only 3 bowlers have been allowed to bowl 4 overs each while the 2 over have to be done by the other bowlers.

This is a crucial match for both the teams as both sides have enjoyed a great start to the campaign and would want to get all the points from this match. Both sides have played 6 matches and won 4 and lost 2. Meanwhile, after this match-up on Friday, they will meet once again within 48 hours on Sunday, this time in Chandigarh to be played from 3:30 P.M IST.
