Watch: Ramiz Raja Calls PSL as “HBL IPL” During Live Presentation

During a live presentation ceremony of the Pakistan Super League (PSL), former Pakistan cricketer and a season commentator Ramiz Raja made a big goof-up as he called PSL as “HBL IPL” instead of HBL PSL.
Former Pakistan cricketer Ramiz Raja is a big name in cricket broadcasting and over the years he has amazed cricket fans across the world’s with his calling of the games.
However, that same veteran commentator made a massive blunder during the ongoing PSL 2025 season. During the live presentation ceremony after the Multan Sultans beat the Lahore Qalandars in the last match, while announcing ‘Catch of the Match’s to Josh Little, Raja mistakenly called “HBL IPL) instead of PSL. Ever since the inception of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) in the year 2016, it has always tried to compete with the Indian Premier League (IPL) which is currently the world’s biggest T20 cricket league. PSL has also seen decreased interest from the fans as the venues have mostly been empty, which has been the case in PSL 2025 season as well.
Multan Sultans beat Lahore Qalandars
Meanwhile in the PSL 2025 match between the Multan Sultans and the Lahore Qalandars, the Sultans bagged a comfortable win. They put 228 runs on the board while batting. It was an exceptional batting performance from Yasir Khan who scored 87 runs off 44 balls combined with contributions from Mohammad Rizwan, Usman Khan and Iftikhar Ahmad.
In the 2nd inning, the bowlers delivered big time and restricted the Lahore Qalandars to 195-9. Ubaid Khan was brilliant with the the ball taking 3 wickets while Usama Mir and Michael Bracewell bagged 2 wickets with David Willey and Josh Little getting a wicket each.
There were some decent level of performance from the Lahore Qalandars but none exceptional enough to take the team home. Sikandar Raza remained unbeaten for 50 runs off 27 balls while the likes of Sam Billing and Fakhar Zaman scored 43 and 32 runs respectively while the remaining most disappointed.
