While the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 opening ceremony failed to live-up to the hype. But one of the talking point from the opening ceremony was when KKR batter Rinku Singh ignored Virat Kohli when called upon the stage by Shah Rukh Khan.

Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) co-owner Shah Rukh Khan graced the IPL opening ceremony with his team KKR in action against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) at the Eden Gardens in the opening match of IPL 2025.

Although the ceremony failed to live-up to the hype prior to the Shah Rukh Khan arrival, one of the most exciting moment of the ceremony was when Shah Rukh made both Rinku Singh and Virat Kohli come to stage and dance with him.

Rinku Singh ignore Virat Kohli

However, some users on social media noted that when Rinku arrived at the stage, he ignored Virat Kohli who was already at the stage. When Rinku arrived, Kohli went to shake hand but Rinku completely ignored.

In-fact, there is nothing wrong here. Both Kohli and Rinku share a good relationship, however, when Kohli went to shake hand with Rinku, Rinku actually didn’t see him approaching for hand shake.

KKR vs RCB IPL 2025 Season Opener

Meanwhile, the IPL 2025 season opener between Kolkata Knight Riders and Royal Challengers Bengaluru got off to a flying start. We saw Quinton de Kock hit a boundary, then Suyash Sharma dropped his catch and then De Kock knicked the ball to the wicketkeeper, all of that in the first over.

KKR were at one stage was on 9-1 in 3 overs. However, Ajinkya Rahane played a marvelous knock alongside Sunil Narine that eventually helped KKR to post 60 runs for the loss of 1 wicket at the end of the powerplay. Rahane scored 39 runs off 16 balls while Sunil Narine struggle with 17 runs from 15 balls.
