The Indian cricket team’s current captain Rohit Sharma and former captain Virat Kohli were captured overjoyed as both performed Dandiya dance with stumps as India beat New Zealand in the Champions Trophy 2025 Final.

It have been several times that there has been rumours regarding rift between two of the legendary Indian batters Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, but the duo proved everyone wrong and in a wholesome moment, both the star cricketers were playing dandiya, a special Gujarati dance form played with dandiya sticks.

But it was different here. While there were no dandiya sticks at the venue, both Rohit and Kohli uprooted the stumps and started playing dandiya with it. Watch the video below.

India Win 2 ICC Titles in 2 Years

Team India won the match by 4 wickets successfully chasing 252 runs with India captain Rohit Sharma leading from the front as he scored 76 runs off 83 balls that included 7 fours and 3 sixes.

Despite team India facing several setbacks during the match, there were always someone there to help the team out there. After both Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill opening stand of 105 runs, despite Virat Kohli’s failure, Shreyas Iyer added middle-order strength for the Men in Blue.

Iyer scored 48 runs off 63 balls which also played a pivotal role in India lifting the trophy. Another player who proved his doubters wrong is KL Rahul. There have been several question mark over the batters place in the team, especially after the 2023 World Cup, but what the change of fate that he was there when the Ravindra Jadeja hit the winning runs.

Rahul remained unbeaten for 34 runs off 33 balls and played a key role in making sure that the team lifts the trophy in Dubai. Earlier, Varun Chakravarthy and Kuldeep Yadav ran their spin bowling magic as the duo picked 2 wickets each. Mohammed Shami and Jadeja also picked 1 wicket each.
