Toss fixing allegations has been raised against once again Chennai Super Kings (CSK) captain MS Dhoni and the franchise ahead of their match against the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) at the Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow on Monday.

Chennai Super Kings arrived in Lucknow after 5 back-to-back defeats in their previous matches including a thumping 8 wickets and 10 overs defeat vs KKR at home. Their season was on the line in this match with another loss very much confirming their elimination from the playoffs race.

A win was much needed for CSK and eventually won the match by 5 wickets while chasing 167 runs target. However, just hours after the match, there has been toss fixing allegations raised against MS Dhoni and CSK.

In a viral video on social media, during the toss, MS Dhoni was seen calling the toss in the ears of the match commisioner, although MS Dhoni had a microphone with him to call either head or tails on it.

When the coin is tossed by Rishabh Pant, it falls far off and the match commissioner checks it to be head and declares MS Dhoni won the toss, although no one knew what was his call. Murali Karthik who was conducting the toss, asked the match commisioner whether the call was tails but the latter insisted it was head. Watch the video below.

CSK beat LSG by 5 wicket

Meanwhile, in a must win match, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) picked-up a 5 wickets win their match against the Lucknow Super Giants. Batting first, LSG’s top 3 trio of Mitchell Marsh, Aiden Markram and league’s top scorer Nicholas Pooran all failed to score big runs.

It was in-fact captain Rishabh Pant’s knock of 63 runs combined with Marsh’s 30, Ayush Badoni’s 22 and Abdul Samad’s 20 runs that helped LSG post 166 runs on the board for the loss of 7 wickets in 20 overs.

CSK got off a flying start thanks to Shaikh Rasheed, Rachin Ravindra’s opening partnership of 52 runs. But once the two departed, CSK’s loose middle-order fumbled again. But this time, Shivam Dube and captain MS Dhoni stepped-up big time.

Shivam Dube scored 43 runs off 37 balls while captain MS Dhoni did the finishers job, scoring valuable 26 runs off 11 balls with a strike rate of 236.36 as CSK won by 5 wickets. MS Dhoni was named the Player of the Match.
