Watch: “Very, Very Scary”- Cheerleader’s Terrifying Video From PBKS Vs DC Match Goes Viral

The IPL 2025 match between the Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals at Dharamsala was abandoned midway on Thursday because of air red alerts in the nearby cities of Jammu and Pathankot. This alarming situation raised serious concerns about the continuation of the tournament amid escalating cross-border tensions.
A floodlight failure started the trouble, escalating into panic when officials instructed fans to evacuate the stadium. A sudden power outage, initially believed to be caused by the floodlight issue, stopped the match when the Punjab Kings were in a strong position at 122 for 1 in 10.1 overs. But soon it’s realised it is more than just a floodlight failure.
Security concerns quickly took precedence, leading to the evacuation of both teams and spectators from the stadium as a precautionary measure. The IPL chairman, Arun Dhumal, was seen signalling the crowd in Dharamsala to leave the stadium for security reasons. During this panic, a cheerleader posted a video on social media describing the atmosphere as “very scary” in the venue.
“The whole stadium was evacuated in the middle of the game. It was terrifying. Everyone was screaming that bombs were coming. It’s still very scary. We want to leave Dharamsala. I hope the IPL organisers will take care of us. I don’t know why I’m not crying; maybe I’m still in shock,” she said in the viral video as she left the ground.
There are some reports that claim the Board of Control for Cricket has arranged a special train to transport the players, support staff, and broadcast crew to safer locations.
At this point, there is no clarity on the future of the remainder of the season, although multiple reports indicate that a BCCI meeting is underway to discuss whether the tournament can safely continue under these circumstances.
