The Indian stalwart Virat Kohli has arrived in Bengaluru ahead of the 18th edition of the Indian Premier League. Recognised as “The King” made an iconic entry and also recreated the famous movie dialogue starring Shah Rukh Khan’s, Don.

After winning the Champions Trophy tournament, Virat Kohli has got plenty of rest before joining Royal Challengers Bengaluru ahead of the much-awaited IPL 2025 season.

Virat Kohli is one among the other cricketers who have joined their respective sides after the Champions Trophy tournament. His arrival video has been shared by RCB’s official Twitter handle. The video soon grabbed the attention of the fans and gone viral on the social media platforms. Watch the video below.

RCB will go face-to-face against the defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders in the season opener on 22nd March, Saturday. This match is scheduled to be played at the iconic Eden Gardens in Kolkata.

Virat Kohli is the leading run scorer in IPL

The former skipper of the RCB will kick off the campaign as the highest run-getter in the history of the Indian Premier League. Virat Kohli has amassed 8004 runs after featuring in 252 games that he played at an average of well around 40. Moreover, the 38-year-old has 8 centuries and 55 fifties under his belt.

His stats and records clearly shows how RCB relied on his services over the years and will continue to do the same in this season as well. He looked in fabulous form during the Champions Trophy tournament and will now turn his attention towards the IPL 2025.

Before IPL, a lot of rumours spread on the social media platforms about Virat Kohli leading RCB in the upcoming season. But the Bengaluru-based franchise has cleared it all by announcing Rajat Patidar as the new skipper on 13th February, 2025.

After Rajat Patidar named as the new skipper, Virat Kohli shared a few words in a video, saying, “I’m here to inform everyone that Rajat Patidar is going to be the new captain of RCB. To grow into this role, of course, it is a big responsibility and I have done this for many years. Faf’s done it for last few years. To be seen as the guy who will take this franchise forward, I am sure this is a great honour for you. I am very, very happy for you.”
