Who is Shaik Rasheed?
Sheik Rasheed was born on 24 September 2004 in Guntur, Andhra Pradesh. Rasheed played an important role in making the Indian team champions in the Under-19 World Cup in 2022. He scored a half-century in the final match, and he was also the vice-captain of the team. He was first bought by Chennai in the IPL 2023 auction for Rs 20 lakh. And he was also with Chennai in IPL 2024, but he did not get a chance to play in both seasons. He has scored 1204 runs in first-class cricket at an average of 40.04. Apart from this, he also has experience playing 17 T20 matches, where he has scored 352 runs at an average of 29.
Shaik Rasheed’s Performance in IPL Debut Match
Shaik Rasheed came out to open the match with Rachin Ravindra in the second innings of the match. Good shots were played by him in his first innings. However, he only played a short innings before Avesh Khan dismissed him for 27 runs. He also hit 6 fours in his short innings.
