Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium
Our Pick
LSG vs SRH | 19 May 19:30 PMBet ₹500, payout ₹885
Monday’s Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 season action is set to be played between the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) and the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at the Bharat Ratna Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow. The match will be played on May 19, 7:30 P.M IST.
LSG: L, W, L, L, L*
SRH: W, L, L, W, L*
Probable XI: Aiden Markram, Nicholas Pooran, Rishabh Pant (C), Ayush Badoni, David Miller, Abdul Samad, Akash Singh, Digvesh Rathi, Avesh Khan, Ravi Bishnoi, Prince Yadav.
Impact Player: Mitchell Marsh
While the likes of Mitchell Marsh and Nicholas Pooran have struggled recently, the South African batter Aiden Markram has been doing well. Markram is a technical batter who prefers to time the ball rather than using power. He is equally adept against pace and spin bowling. He has scored 348 runs and he is the team’s top scorer at the venue, scoring 197 runs in Lucknow.
TOP BATTER
LSG vs SRH | 19 May 19:30 PMBet ₹500, payout ₹1275
Bowling hasn’t been upto the standards for the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in the IPL 2025. The side has struggled to pick wickets, especially in Lucknow. Avesh Khan can be an important player for the Super Giants in this match. He can use different variations and cutters against a batting line-up that prefers to attack the bowlers, and could result into mis-timed shots.
TOP BOWLER
LSG vs SRH | 19 May 19:30 PMBet ₹500, payout ₹1250
Probable XI: Abhishek Sharma, Ishan Kishan, Sachin Baby, Heinrich Klaasen, Aniket Verma, Abhinav Manohar, Pat Cummins (C), Harshal Patel, Jaydev Unadkat, Zeeshan Ansari, Eshan Malinga.
Impact Player: Travis Head
Despite not having a great season, the Australian opening batter Travis Head has scored 281 runs in 10 innings. The Australian batsman like to play aggressive cricket, be it in the powerplay or after that. Compare of Abhishek Sharma, Head has more control to his shots, which makes him an ideal choice to score a lot of runs against a struggling Lucknow Super Giants bowling line-up. In the previous match vs LSG this season, Head scored 47 runs.
TOP BATTER
LSG vs SRH | 19 May 19:30 PMBet ₹500, payout ₹1200
Last season’s purple cap winner Harshal Patel has been the most consistent performer with the ball for the Sunrisers Hyderabad. Patel has 14 wickets this season. He uses pace variations and bowls cutters that can be effective at a venue like the Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow. So back Harshal Patel to pick some wickets in this match.

• Pitch & Toss Update – The Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow has favoured the batters in the IPL 2025 season. There is not much movement expected with the new ball while the summer condition and with the prevailing heatwave, the pitch could be on the drier side as well. The spinners and slow bowlers in the middle overs can be effective. However, looking at the past few scores at the venue, scores between 180-200 is expected to be winning total. Teams chasing have won majority of the matches here in the IPL 2025. So expect the captain that wins the toss to opt to bowl first, especially considering the dew factor later in the day.

Arun Jaitley Stadium
Our Pick
DC vs GT | 18 May 19:30 PMBet ₹500, payout ₹895
We are in Delhi for the match number 60 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 season. It is the Delhi Capitals (DC) hosting the Gujarat Titans (GT) at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on May 18, Sunday. This will be the 2nd match of the day, taking place at 7:30 P.M IST.
DC: W, L, W, L, L*
GT: W, W, L, W, W*
Probable XI: Faf du Plessis, Abhishek Porel, Sameer Rizvi, KL Rahul, Axar Patel (C), Tristan Stubbs, Ashutosh Sharma, Vipraj Nigam, Dushmantha Chameera, Kuldeep Yadav, Mukesh Kumar.
Impact Player: T Natarajan
Despite the presence of KL Rahul in the team, it is in-fact a young wicket-keeper batter Abhishek Porel who has been exceptional at the venue. Porel is the team’s 2nd top scorer with 265 runs, out of which he has scored 114 runs at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. Porel is an aggresive opening batter who looks to make the most of the first 6 overs. But he also can play long inning if needed be.
TOP BATTER
DC vs GT | 18 May 19:30 PMBet ₹500, payout ₹1375
The Delhi Capitals bowlers haven’t had a great season. Despite the early fires by Mitchell Starc, has been off-form off-late. Meanwhile, neither of Mukesh Kumar and Mohit Sharma have been able to make an impact. In that case, T Natarajan can be an important player for the Capitals in this match. He has mostly been overlooked this season, but he picked the only wicket in the match vs Punjab Kings which was suspended after 10 overs.
TOP BOWLER
DC vs GT | 18 May 19:30 PMBet ₹500, payout ₹1275
Probable XI: Sai Sudharsan, Shubman Gill (C), Jos Buttler, Rahul Tewatia, Shahrukh Khan, Rashid Khan, Sai Kishore, Arshad Khan, Gerald Coetzee, Mohammed Siraj, Prasidh Krishna.
Impact Player: Sherfane Rutherford
Gujarat Titans’ left-hand batter Sai Sudharsan has been by far the best batter in the IPL 2025 season. He has shown unreal consistency, classic shot-making which has him 2nd in the race for the orange cap. Sai could dominate the bowler once again against a rather struggling bowling line-up. The Capitals also don’t have a good off-spin bowler or someone who bowls well against left-hand batters, making Sudharsan the ideal candidate to score big runs in this match.
TOP BATTER
DC vs GT | 18 May 19:30 PMBet ₹500, payout ₹1025
Many expected Mohammed Siraj to be the best Gujarat Titans bowler, although he has done well, it is in-fact Prasidh Krishna who has been on a different level, taking 20 wickets so far. Prasidh is capable of taking wickets in all phases of the game, making him an ideal choice to bag loads of wickets in this match.

The batter is the Royals best bet to score some big runs, especially against a really good bowling unit.

RR vs PBKS | 18 May 15:30 PMBet ₹500, payout ₹1100
Predicting any Rajasthan Royals bowler’s performance against a team like Punjab Kings is a tough ask. Kings have a solid batting attack while the Royals bowlers have all struggled. However, English pacer Jofra Archer has to play a key role in this match. Archer has not had a great campaign so far, but he is currently the best wicket-taking option available for the Royals.

Impact Player: Vijaykumar Vyshak
Punjab Kings captain Shreyas Iyer has played several match winning innings for the Kings in the IPL 2025 season. Batting at number 3, Iyer has scored 405 runs. The batting surface at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium would also help the batter to score more runs. Iyer is a reliable and consistent run scorer against pace and spin.

• Pitch & Toss Update – The Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur is a batting friendly ground. However, the ground is not typically high scoring venue, 220+. The bigger boundaries help the bowlers to limit the run scoring flow. Pacers and spin bowler both have performed well at venue, with the pacers taking few more wickets than the spinners. Chasing has been the preferred option at the venue, however, if batting first team can put 215+ runs in the board, then it becomes difficult to chase. The captain that wins the toss, should opt to bowl first.
• Weather Report – We have clear sky for the match on Sunday as it is expected to be hot and warm throughout the day. Temparature is expected at 41°C constant throughout the game. There is 0% probability of precipitation, so there is no threat of rain at all.

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) has been one of the favourite opposition for Virat Kohli and he has scored lots of runs against the side. In the opening match of the season between the two teams, Kohli scored 59 runs. So watch out for the ‘Super V’.
TOP BATTER
RCB vs KKR | 17 May 19:30 PMBet ₹500, payout ₹1075
In the absence of Josh Hazlewood, Bhuvneshwar Kumar becomes an important bowler for the Royal Challengers Bengaluru. The India international bowler has 12 wickets in 10 matches. He was off-form at the start of the season but gained traction as the season progressed. Against a really good batting of KKR, Bhuvi’s role will be impactful.

Impact Player: Vaibhav Arora
Captain Ajinkya Rahane has been the Kolkata Knight Riders’ (KKR) top batter in the IPL 2025. Rahane has scored 375 runs in 11 innings and has amazed the fans with his classic shot-making. Ajinkya is a very solid batter against pace but his strike rate and average go down against spin. However, he mostly makes most of it before the spinners come into attack.

With the surface at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium is batting friendly, bowlers will have to work hard. However, the ground hasn’t been as big scoring in IPL 2025. Pacers who can use different variations and cutters and bowl at good length will benefit from the surface. However, the surface has played balanced cricket this season, assisting both the batters and bowlers. There has been only instances when 200+ runs has been scored in an inning this season. Pace bowlers have performed much better at the venue than spinners. Toss won’t play a significant role here. However, the bowling first have that mental advantage with the probability of due later on.
• Weather Report – The weather forecast for Saturday in Bengaluru suggests that there is absolutely no chance of a game. It has been raining here for the last few days and on Saturday, there is 70% probability of rain from 5 P.M onwards and it will continue to rain till midnight, unless a drastic change. Eden Gardens
In a crucial match for Kolkata Knight Riders’ playoff hopes, Chennai Super Kings edged out a narrow two-wicket win at Eden Gardens. KKR posted 179/6 after being put in to bat, with Ajinkya Rahane top-scoring with a steady 48 off 33 balls. Andre Russell added firepower with 38 off 21, while Manish Pandey anchored the finish with an unbeaten 36. CSK spinner Noor Ahmad was the standout bowler, picking up four important wickets to stall KKR’s momentum.
Chennai’s chase got off to a nightmare start, losing both openers for ducks and reeling at 60 for 5. But Dewald Brevis turned the game around with a stunning 52 off just 25 balls, including a game-changing over where he smashed 30 runs off Vaibhav Arora. Shivam Dube chipped in with a composed 45, and debutant Urvil Patel’s quickfire 31 off 11 helped CSK stay in the hunt. MS Dhoni held his nerve at the end, finishing unbeaten on 17 to seal the win with two balls left, dealing a huge blow to KKR’s playoff chances.

First Innings: Kolkata Knight Riders 179/6 (20 Overs)
After choosing to bat first, Kolkata Knight Riders had a decent start with Rahmanullah Gurbaz playing some crisp shots early on. However, wickets at regular intervals meant KKR couldn’t fully capitalize on their starts. Captain Ajinkya Rahane was the anchor, scoring 48 off 33 and stitching together small partnerships through the middle overs. Andre Russell exploded in typical fashion with a 21-ball 38, lifting the scoring rate in the latter stages. Manish Pandey provided stability with an unbeaten 36* at the death. KKR finished at 179/6 in 20 overs, a competitive but not intimidating total. Noor Ahmad was the pick of CSK’s bowlers, taking 4 crucial wickets and controlling the middle overs brilliantly.
Second Innings: Chennai Super Kings 183/8 (19.4 Overs)
CSK’s chase began on the worst possible note—both openers were dismissed for ducks. KKR’s bowling trio of Vaibhav Arora, Harshit Rana, and Varun Chakaravarthy applied the squeeze early, reducing CSK to 60/5. The game seemed heavily in KKR’s control before Dewald Brevis turned it on with an explosive 52 off just 25 balls, including a brutal 30-run over off Arora. Shivam Dube contributed with a composed 45 to stabilize the innings. In the final overs, debutant Urvil Patel smashed a rapid 31 off 11, keeping CSK in the game. Eventually, it was MS Dhoni who held his nerve and guided CSK home in the final over, finishing unbeaten on 17. Chennai won by two wickets making qualification scenarios difficult for KKR.
We predicted that Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) would bring intensity to this must-win game, and they did. Their bowling unit—led by Harshit Rana, Vaibhav Arora, and Varun Chakaravarthy—executed plans perfectly and dominated the powerplay, just as anticipated.
We expected KKR’s batting to be anchored by contributions from Rahane and the middle order, and they delivered. Manish Pandey played a vital knock that held the innings together.
We also highlighted CSK’s bowling inconsistencies, particularly their expensive spells, and that too proved accurate, with key bowlers failing to control the run rate in crucial overs.
We underestimated CSK’s lower-middle order. Dewald Brevis turned out to be the unexpected game-changer with his explosive knock, and Urvil Patel added crucial runs that kept CSK in the hunt.
Despite struggling earlier in the match, CSK mounted a strong fightback, especially in the last five overs—something we didn’t expect to the extent it happened.
Lastly, our call on KKR’s superior depth falling in their favor didn’t pan out, as their batters couldn’t convert a decent start into a match-winning total.
In what was a high-stakes clash for both teams, Chennai Super Kings edged out Kolkata Knight Riders in a closely contested game that kept fans on the edge till the final overs. KKR, fighting to stay alive in the playoff race, showed heart and discipline, especially with the ball early on. However, CSK’s timely resurgence—powered by their middle and lower-middle order—proved decisive. While our prediction leaned in favor of a KKR win based on form and squad depth, CSK’s ability to rise under pressure reminded everyone why they are one of the most resilient sides in IPL history. This win not only lifts them off the bottom but makes the playoff race even more intense for KKR and the rest of the teams.

Wankhede Stadium
In a rain-interrupted nail-biter at the Wankhede Stadium, Gujarat Titans pulled off a stunning three-wicket win over Mumbai Indians in the final ball of the game. Batting first, Mumbai posted 155/8, thanks to Will Jacks’ composed 53 and some lower-order resistance from Corbin Bosch. However, MI faltered in the middle overs, losing five wickets for just 26 runs. Gujarat’s bowlers, especially Sai Kishore, kept things tight and prevented MI from accelerating in the death overs.
Chasing a revised DLS target of 147 in 19 overs after rain disruptions, Gujarat Titans found themselves in a tough position. Shubman Gill (43) and Jos Buttler (30) gave them a steady start, but regular wickets threatened to derail the chase. In the dramatic final over, Rahul Tewatia and Gerald Coetzee held their nerve, taking 15 runs off Deepak Chahar’s over—assisted by a costly no-ball—to clinch victory on the last ball. The win took GT to the top of the IPL 2025 points table and ended MI’s six-match winning run.
Gujarat Titans (Playing XI): Sai Sudharsan, Shubman Gill(c), Jos Buttler(w), Rahul Tewatia, Shahrukh Khan, Rashid Khan, Ravisrinivasan Sai Kishore, Arshad Khan, Gerald Coetzee, Mohammed Siraj, Prasidh Krishna

Impact Sub: Karn Sharma
Top performers
First Innings: Mumbai Indians 155/8 (20 Overs)
Mumbai Indians, after deciding to bat first at home, got off to a cautious start. The top order, including Rohit Sharma and Ryan Rickleton, failed to fire, leaving much of the responsibility to Will Jacks. Jacks stood tall amid a middle-order collapse and scored a fluent 53 off 34 balls. However, the Titans bowlers, especially Sai Kishore (2/34), struck regularly through the middle overs. MI slumped from 88/3 to 114/7, losing five wickets for just 26 runs. Corbin Bosch’s late cameo ensured MI posted a somewhat respectable total of 155/8 in 20 overs.
Second Innings: Gujarat Titans 147/7 (19 Overs)
Rain reduced the Gujarat Titans’ chase to 147 off 19 overs via the DLS method. Skipper Shubman Gill and Jos Buttler laid a decent foundation with a 59-run stand. However, Mumbai struck back with wickets at regular intervals to keep the Titans in check. The game swayed back and forth, with GT needing 15 off the final over. Deepak Chahar, who was trusted with the last over, bowled a no-ball at a crucial moment. Rahul Tewatia and Gerald Coetzee capitalized on that slip and sealed the win on the last ball, helping GT leap to the top of the table and ending MI’s winning streak.
We highlighted that this would be a top-tier clash between two quality teams, and it certainly lived up to the billing with a thrilling last-over finish.
We noted that Gujarat’s top order had been doing the heavy lifting throughout the season—and once again, it was the top-order duo of Shubman Gill and Jos Buttler that provided the initial momentum.
The untested GT middle and lower-middle order was exposed slightly, and had to be bailed out by the experience of Rahul Tewatia.
Our prediction backed Mumbai Indians to win, given their form and home advantage, but Gujarat Titans pulled off a stunning win with a clutch final-over performance.
We expected Mumbai’s bowling attack, especially Bumrah and Chahar, to hold firm at the death—but a no-ball and a few loose deliveries in the final over cost them the game.
While MI’s middle-order was expected to be their strength, they couldn’t capitalize in this match, collapsing under pressure against GT’s spinners.
The high-voltage clash between Mumbai Indians and Gujarat Titans lived up to expectations, delivering a gripping contest between two top contenders. While we backed Mumbai to win owing to their home advantage and recent resurgence, Gujarat Titans held their nerve better, with their top order firing once again and the bowling unit stepping up under pressure. MI showed glimpses of brilliance, but key moments slipped away—making this a match where our prediction narrowly missed the mark, highlighting GT’s consistency and composure in crunch situations.

Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium
In the Match 55 of IPL 2025 between Delhi Capitals and Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium ended in a washout. Delhi, after batting first, posted 133/7 in their 20 overs with valuable knocks from Tristan Stubbs and Ashutosh Sharma, who both scored 41 runs. Pat Cummins led the SRH bowling attack with three wickets.
Unfortunately, the second innings couldn’t take place due to persistent rain, resulting in a no-result. The outcome was a major blow for SRH, as it officially knocked them out of playoff contention for a third consecutive season. Delhi Capitals are still in the race but now face a must-win scenario in their upcoming matches.
Sunrisers Hyderabad (Playing XI): Abhishek Sharma, Ishan Kishan(w), Heinrich Klaasen, Aniket Verma, Sachin Baby, Abhinav Manohar, Pat Cummins(c), Harshal Patel, Jaydev Unadkat, Zeeshan Ansari, Eshan Malinga

Impact Sub: Ashutosh Sharma
Top performers:
First Innings: Delhi Capitals 133/7 (20 Overs)
Delhi Capitals were invited to bat first on a pitch that looked good for scoring but turned out tricky. The top order struggled, with SRH’s bowlers keeping it tight early on. Pat Cummins was the standout, dismissing KL Rahul and Tristan Stubbs just as they looked settled. Stubbs and Ashutosh Sharma both scored 41, adding some stability in the middle overs. However, wickets kept falling at regular intervals and DC could only manage 133/7 in their 20 overs—below-par on a ground known for high scores.
Second Innings: Sunrisers Hyderabad (Match abandoned due to rain)
Unfortunately, rain interrupted play before SRH could begin their chase. Despite attempts to get a reduced game in, the weather refused to clear, and the match was eventually called off. Both teams had to settle for a point each, which hurt SRH more, as it officially ended their playoff hopes.
Pat Cummins’ Impact: We predicted Cummins to be one of SRH’s key bowlers, and he delivered with a strong performance, picking up crucial wickets and maintaining control in the powerplay.
Delhi Capitals’ Middle-Order Strength: We highlighted DC’s batting depth, and despite a shaky start, Tristan Stubbs and Ashutosh Sharmal stepped up in the middle order to stabilize the innings and take them to a fighting total.
Bowling Inconsistencies: We mentioned that both teams had struggled with their bowling consistency throughout the season, which reflected in how DC collapsed early and how SRH allowed a comeback later.
Rain Impact: We expected a full game and backed SRH to win, especially given their explosive batting lineup suited for this venue. However, rain washed out the chase entirely, making the result void.
High-Scoring Expectations: The Rajiv Gandhi Stadium is usually high-scoring, and we anticipated a big-hitting contest, but the pitch was slow and tricky, leading to a below-par total by DC.
SRH’s Batting Potential: While we banked on the SRH top order to fire at home, they didn’t get a chance to bat due to the washout—so we couldn’t assess their performance in this game.
The clash between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Delhi Capitals was shaping up to be an exciting contest at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, but unfortunately, rain had the final say. Delhi, after an early collapse, showed great fightback through Tristan Stubbs and Ashutosh Sharma to post a competitive total. Pat Cummins once again proved his value for SRH with an outstanding bowling spell.
However, with no action possible in the second innings, the game ended in a no result, leaving both teams to share points. For SRH, it was a missed opportunity to grab a crucial win at home, while Delhi will take heart from their middle-order fightback.

The duo kept the scoreboard ticking, while late fireworks from Josh Inglis helped PBKS post a daunting total of 236/5 — their highest of the season. On the other side LSG bowlers couldn’t control the leaking runs. All of the 5 bowlers costed 20+ runs adding up the big total. Second Innings: Lucknow Super Giants 199/7 (20 Overs) Lucknow Super Giants had a shaky start, losing key wickets early as Arshdeep Singh ripped through their top order. Although Ayush Badoni played a fighting knock of 74 and Abdul Samad tried to up the tempo with 45 runs, the chase always seemed out of reach. Captain Rishabh Pant’s struggle continued as he returned for 18. Avesh Khan tried fighting with his unbeaten knock of 19 which had 4 boundaries and 1 six. Yet, LSG could only manage 199/7, falling short by 37 runs in a high-scoring encounter. As It Happened
Win Prediction: We correctly predicted that Punjab Kings had a more solid and balanced squad this season. Also that Punjab had a better chance of winning due to their previous form and depth was accurate.
PBKS’s top order: Our call that PBKS’s top order, especially the top three, would be key proved spot on with Prabhsimran and Iyer delivering match-winning performances.
Head-to-Head Record: We noted that PBKs had already beaten LSg earlier this season, they repeated the result.
Ayush Badoni’s innings: We slightly underestimated LSG’s fightback potential, especially Ayush Badoni’s valiant 74.
PBKS’s Batting strength: PBKS’s total crossed 230, which was unexpectedly high even considering their batting strength.
LSG’s bowling: We predicted a closer contest given both teams playoff chances but it turned out to be a one sided affair.
Close contest: Anticipated a close match between two playoff-contending sides, but it ended up being rather one-sided in PBKS’ favor.
Punjab Kings showcased their dominance yet again over Lucknow Super Giants in IPL 2025, proving why they were the favorites going into the match. A blistering batting performance and a composed bowling effort sealed a comprehensive win. While LSG showed moments of brilliance, they couldn’t match PBKS’s intensity across both innings. With this win, PBKS strengthened their push for the playoffs and continued to build momentum at the right time in the tournament.
